Is Box of Drugs a replacement for primary care or emergency care?
No. Box of Drugs is designed to support preparedness and early decision-making. It does not replace primary care, emergency services, or in-person medical evaluation when needed.

How do I get started?
Enrollment and medical review are completed through a secure, HIPAA-compliant medical platform. You’ll complete a brief health questionnaire, which is reviewed by a board-certified emergency medicine physician.
Who reviews my information?
All medical information is reviewed by a board-certified emergency medicine physician who determines whether Box of Drugs is appropriate for you and which medications, if any, are indicated.
How long does the review process take?
In most cases, physician review is completed within one business day after enrollment is submitted.
What types of medications are included?
Medications are selected based on your health history, travel or lifestyle needs, and physician judgment. Not all medications listed on this site are appropriate for every patient.
Can I request specific medications?
You may indicate preferences, but all medications are prescribed solely at the discretion of the reviewing physician based on safety and medical appropriateness.
What if I have questions about when or how to use a medication?
If questions arise, you may contact the physician listed on your box for guidance on what to take, what to do next, and when in-person care is recommended.
What happens if a medication is used or expires?
Used or expired medications may be refilled when medically appropriate. Refill availability and costs vary by prescription.
